Programme Advisor: Streamlining reporting/engagement tools

What we're looking for

This is a hands-on position, where you take the lead on all looking at current processes of data collection in terms of remote project management and working with the field team in Syria as well as senior management to streamline processes. This role is an opportunity to exercise independent thinking and creatively design solutions to ensuring reporting and engagement tools with local communities are best fit for localised and participatory lead processes. RTAID operates a network model of aid and the Consultant will ensure that the package of tools works within this framework as well as the 8+3 model of reporting and localisation of aid as per the Grand Bargain 2016.

The Consultant will test out and iterate any designed processes working with the field team in Al Raqqa, Syria. No travel is required as the role can be based remotely.

Responsibilities

Streamlining reporting/engagement tools

  • Audit current data processes
  • Strategic meetings with senior management and field team to understand needs and capacities
  • Develop and iterate reporting/data collection tools based on vision of remote Project Management fit for localised needs of communities impacted by humanitarian crises
  • Coordinate with all relevant parties independently, including organising online meetings, Project Managing deadlines, tasking team members as necessary
  • Keep senior management appraised of any issues that may arise in good time
  • Use RTAID communication channels (slack/google drive/other) for all documents and communications
  • Write up all processes with narrative explanations as well as step-by-step diagrams and visualisation
  • Ensure all tools to support the processes are also created
  • Coordinate with Partner organisations as and when necessary
  • Liaise with tech team to ensure processes are clear for remote management purposes

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Minimum of eight years experience working in an international development context on location
  • Fluency in English excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft suit and database management
  • A high level of motivation and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience of Project Management at a senior level
  • Experience of working in multi-cultural teams
  • Experience of working on monitoring and evaluation in a humanitarian crises context

Preferred:

  • Experience community based organisations working on sport, development, women’s projects
  • Arabic language skills
  • Humanities degree or other qualification in international development

ASAP Consultancy contract, competitive Daily rate. €11,250 (incl. VAT) in Total.
