Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Participatory Decision-Making Advisor to join our team. The Participatory Grantmaking Advisor will play a pivotal role in supporting our organization's commitment to fostering participatory decision-making processes within our grantmaking activities. This role involves providing regular advisory support, guidance, and expertise on participatory grantmaking processes, tools, and partnerships with relevant organizations in the frontline aid's ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on participatory grantmaking principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with our team to design and implement participatory decision-making structures and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field of participatory grantmaking and share this knowledge with the team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and organizations in the frontline aid's ecosystem.
  • Assist in identifying potential partners for collaborative grantmaking initiatives.
  • Support the development of training materials and workshops related to participatory grantmaking.
  • Facilitate participatory workshops, training sessions, and meetings as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of participatory grantmaking efforts and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to the overall development and refinement of our grantmaking strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in participatory grantmaking or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of grantmaking processes and philanthropic ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant tools, technologies, and software related to grantmaking.
  • Commitment to our organization's mission and values.
