Community Training Tools Developer

This is a hands-on position where you take the lead on all looking at current processes of data collection in terms of remote project management and working with the field team in Syria as well as senior management to streamline processes. This role is an opportunity to exercise independent thinking and creatively design solutions to ensure reporting and engagement tools with local communities are best fit for localized and participatory lead processes. RTAID operates a network model of aid and the consultant will ensure that the package of tools works within this framework as well as the 8+3 model of reporting and localization of aid as per the Grand Bargain 2016.

IMPORTANT: You must be creative! Use Infographics, video's make it easy for the reader, we don't want manuals, processes which no one wants to read!

The Consultant will develop onboarding guidelines/policies and create self-explanatory guidelines training guidebook to onboard local initiatives so they be able to articulate and tick the boxes in order to work with various audiences.

No travel is required as the role can be based remotely.

Review the onboarding guidelines and understanding conceptual framework within the Grand Bargain

  • Review/audit current online processes
  • Strategic meetings with senior management and field team to understand needs and capacities
  • Develop and iterate guidelines and necessary additional training materials for different steps to compliment the different onboarding steps (Finance, Monitoring and Evaluation, etc.)
  • Tailor guidelines based on vision of remote project management fit for localized needs of communities impacted by humanitarian crises
  • Coordinate with all relevant parties independently, including organizing online meetings, project managing deadlines, tasking team members as necessary
  • Keep senior management appraised of any issues that may arise in good time
  • Write up all processes with narrative explanations as well as step-by-step diagrams and visualization
  • Ensure all tools to support the processes are also created (see example below).

Education, Qualifications, Competences, Skills Required :

Essential:

  • Minimum of eight years' experience working in an international development context on location,
  • Fluency in English excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of motivation and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Superb design skills and/or able to create tutorials
  • Experience of project management at a senior level
  • Experience of working in multicultural teams
  • Experience of working on monitoring and evaluation in a humanitarian crisis context
  • Experience in budgeting
